In 1991 Mike founded Excel Benefits Inc. with the goal of assisting businesses of all sizes navigate the ever-changing costs and processes of benefits implementation and offer a fully educated staff for benefits advisory and servicing. Mike is truly a seasoned veteran and one of the most knowledgeable employee benefits consultants in the industry today. Mike is a graduate of Texas State university with a B.A. in business.

Mitchell BigleyOperations Manager

After college Mitchell began working at the agency. A passion for the insurance benefits insurance industry bloomed and he eventually took over the operations of the agency. He takes pride in ensuring clients are provided with rapid top-notch service and continually looks to optimize processes and systems within the agency to maintain the high-quality service our clients have come to expect. He is known for his constant availability and quick responsiveness to our clients. Mitchell is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Drake BigleyLead Benefits Consultant

Drake started in the insurance industry 7 years ago with a passion for engaging and guiding businesses on their group benefit needs. Being a former Athlete, he’s transferred many of the principals he learned in athletics into business. Drake constantly reinforces that his main job in the company is to listen. He listens to business executives to uncover their pain points and needs and then uses his experience to offer the most comprehensive solutions available.
